The Bloempot, a Flemish canteen
The “Butchers” street in Lille, a heart for an unusual place, this is the trigger… This will be the address for Florent Ladeyn, a Flemish canteen… An adventure Florent wants to share with his longtime friend Kevin Rolland. A story of friendship, trust between two partners who share the same values : simplicity, soil and humans. Their goal : Bring nature to the city.
Called Bloempot ( flowerpot in Flemish), this new place is housed in a former carpentry workshop hidden deep in a small courtyard with greenery… A haven of peace in the heart of Lille which hosts forty persons in a rustic atmosphere. Old walls not straight, exposed brick, steel beams, open in a vegetable garden hanging kitchen, the goal here is to focus on the gross appearance of the place.
On the menu, a wild and creative cooking centered around local products like the “Vert Mont“. A culinary expertise provided by Florent surrounded by a motivated and cohesive team that comes from the hostel and he himself trained to ensure consistent quality .
The goal is the same for all in the kitchen or the dining room : just make fun. A short, scalable map with a forced menu in the evening , casual service, affordable prices, this Flemish canteen is above all friendly . Good, simple and just do with a little bit of madness or when nature comes at the table Florent Ladeyn version .
